Soldiers deployed to Eskom power stations

South African National Defence Force soldiers will be stationed at Eskom power stations until the threats of sabotage are minimised. Soldiers have been deployed at Majuba, Camden, Tutuka and Grootvlei power stations, all in Mpumalanga. These facilities have been badly affected by sabotage, theft, vandalism and corruption, which have contributed to crippling rolling blackouts. The country is currently experiencing Stage 4 power outages.
