Gqeberha is 300km away from East London and its also about 150km away from Jeffrey’s Bay.
Gqeberha is the seat of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa’s second largest metropolitan district by area. It is the most-populous city of the Eastern Cape and the sixth most-populous city in South Africa.
The city’s name change was officially gazetted on 23 February 2021.

Gqeberha is one of the safest cities in South Africa. However, it should be understood that the crime rate is still quite high.
